At Sprinks Farm, we are keen that everyone has the chance to enjoy all that the countryside and our farm have to offer. We offer a range of exciting experiences to guests in our accommodation and to anyone who wants to come along and have a go.
Take part in a guided 1 ½ hour tour of the deer park and learn about the magnificent species. You will be guided, with others, through the park and introduced to the animals. The tour consists of opportunities to learn, get photographs of deer in their natural environment and, perhaps, to get up close to some of the big reds.
Spend up to half a day learning how to get close to the deer and capturing some truly stunning, and unique, photographs of this magnificent animal. Learn stalking techniques to help you get closer to wildlife and to secure the best possible shot. Spend time near the deer and other lively wildlife and enjoy the fresh air.
We’ll guide you through a two-hour clay pigeon shooting party on our clay pigeon range. Individual coaching will be provided – so don’t worry if you’ve never held a shotgun before. The experience, will culminate in a six “bird” shoot off – a chance to shine and demonstrate your abilities or a chance for some spirited competition!
This half day course will allow you to learn about the preparation of a deer carcass – from initial preparation all the way through to oven-ready cuts of meat. Each participant will have a chance to get hands on experience preparing different cuts of venison and to take home your hard work for a delicious dinner.
This half day course will allow you to learn different techniques and recipes to make the most of your venison. Each participant will have a chance to get real hands-on experience and will involve the preparation of up to three different venison dishes; you will be able to take home your hard work for a delicious dinner.
This full day Venison Butchery and Cookery course will combine our popular Deer Butchery course with our Cooking with Venison course. This course allows the participants to follow the whole process – from initial butchery and preparation of the carcass, all the way through to a wonderful game meal.
